About

La Gioia means "joy" in Italian, a language I learned to love during the years I lived and studied there. I started making jewelry in 2022 while working as a footwear designer, drawn to the slower, more intentional rhythm of working with my hands. When I moved to Toronto, I paused. To settle into a new city, a new country, a new version of myself. Two years later, my hands found their way back to wire and stones. Each piece begins with a material that catches my eye: gemstones worn smooth by time, freshwater pearls shaped by nature, vintage beads with stories I'll never know. I work slowly, in small batches, in my Toronto studio. Making jewelry meant to be worn, treasured, and kept.

This is La Gioia. This is my invitation to wear joy with you.
